Students must apply for credit through the Study Abroad Office before they can request the ISA. Study Abroad deadlines are earlier than the ISA deadline!
The ISA request is part of the Yale Study Abroad Office credit application. In order to apply for the ISA, students must complete the following steps:
Ensure you and your program are eligible to receive an ISA. Refer to the ISA Eligibility Criteria.
In order to receive an ISA, students must transfer credit back to Yale from their study abroad program by submitting a credit application through the Yale Study Abroad Office.
Note: Yale Study Abroad credit application deadlines are earlier than the ISA deadline! Make sure you submit your credit application on time.
*Steps 2 and 3 can be implemented simultenously or out of order, depending on the specific study abroad program deadline.
Students pursuing a non-Yale study abroad program must apply directly to that program in addition to filling out a credit transfer application with the Study Abroad Office. Students are responsible for meeting the program application deadline.
Students applying to Yale in London and Yale Summer Session must apply by the deadline of each program. The application process is through Yale and a separate credit application is not necessary.
The ISA Request form is part of the Study Abroad credit application in Yale Compass. You must have an application on file in order to request the ISA.
Submit the ISA Request form by the final ISA deadline. No late applications are accepted.
Part of the ISA is disbursed over Zelle. Ensure that your Zelle account is set up correctly to prevent delays in payment.
International students: Confirm that your Sprintax Calculus tax forms are on file and up to date, or payments will be delayed.
