Before you can request an International Study Award (ISA), you must first submit an application in Yale Compass for your intended summer study abroad program(s) by the relevant deadline. After receiving admission into or Yale approval for your summer study abroad program, you will have access to the (ISA) International Study Award request form as one of your required pre-departure forms in your Yale Compass account. This form is due by 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, May 1.
If you would like to submit your ISA form for earlier processing, the Early Action Deadline is 1:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on Friday, April 5.
Note: Due to the high number of requests received, the ISA Team is unable to individually confirm submission status.
To check whether you have already completed your ISA request, please log into Yale Compass and go to your program application or application for credit for non-Yale programs. The ISA form becomes available after you have been admitted to a program.
If the (ISA) International Study Award form appears under Completed requirements, then your request has been received. If the form still appears under Items to complete, it has not been received. Ensure that you have selected Yes and pressed Done on the form.
Note: Students who do not complete the ISA form by 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Time) on May 1 will not be permitted to use ISA funds even if otherwise eligible.
